Join us for a showcase of music and dance at the Oakland Museum of California’s Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year Celebration!

Featured artists I Dewa Putu Berata, Emiko Saraswati Susilo, and I Dewa Putu Rai are joined by senior Gamelan Sekar Jaya musicians in an array of small instrumental groups, including geguntangan and pearjaan ensembles. You don’t want to miss this!

This event will take place at OMCA’s outdoor campus from 12 - 3. GSJ performs from 1:30 - 2pm, but the whole program is sure to be fun for all ages.

Enjoy food trucks, and take-home art activities, readings by children’s literature author Oliver Chin, and additional performances by the Toishan Benevolent Association Lion Dancers and award-winning musician and composer Vân-Ánh Võ.
