This class is for everyone in your household or pod! Join together with your kids, your parents, your partner, or your roommate for this class where more is merrier. Kecak is a Balinese vocal tradition, where musicians use their voices to imitate the sounds of gamelan instruments. You may have heard of it referred to as “Monkey Chant”, but we prefer kecak. Much of Balinese music is based on interlocking rhythms: one melody made by two or more voices. This class offers a chance for you to try interlocking with anyone you’re with. Gather around the computer screen and learn kecak with us!
Taught by Ida Bagus Made Widnyana and Dewa Ayu Tiara Dewi.
