Gamelan Sekar Jaya invites you to an enchanting afternoon of Balinese music and dance at the Studio One Art Center!

Join us on December 8th, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, for a captivating performance amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Studio One’s Holiday Craft Sale. Please allow extra time for parking and bring your own seating, such as lawn chairs or picnic blankets, to fully enjoy this free outdoor event.

The program features two mesmerizing ensembles: the delicate and harmonious Angklung, performing Gending Ding (instrumental), Tari Penyambutan (welcome dance and musical piece), and Kempur Dang (instrumental); and the dynamic bamboo Jegog ensemble, presenting Truntungan (instrumental), Gopala (dance and musical piece), Malu (instrumental), and Joged (dance and musical piece). Each performance will be brought to life under the direction of Fall 2024 Guest Music Director I Dewa Berata, Jegog Music Director I Gede Oka Negara, and Fall 2024 Guest Dance Director Shoko Yamamuro, with Sekar Jaya’s talented dance ensemble.
