Geringsing wayang PUTRI
Large double ikat textile from the village of Tenganan. The geringsing textile is only made in the village of Tenganan, where the labor-intensive traditional double ikat method is practiced.
This geringsing textile features the “wayang putri” motif, with a large sitting woman flanked by a figure facing her, and a figure to her back. Many of the patterns in the motif are floral, consistent with the feminine theme of the “wayang putri” motif.
84.5 x 20in. excluding fringe. Fringe adds 5in. at each end.

Shiva Nataraja Statue
Shiva Nataraja is a depiction of the Hindu God Shiva as divine dancer, holding fire in one hand, and a serpent in another. This Balinese bronze Shiva Nataraja statue measures 24.75in. high by 20in. wide and features exquisite details in the God's features and garments.
One flame tip on the external ring is missing, but included taped to the back of the statue.

Two Antique West Bali Ceiling Cloths (“Leluhur”)
These richly embroidered ceiling cloths with mirrors placed at the cardinal directions originate from West Bali. “Leluhur” means ancestors, as this type of cloth is hung from the ceiling of an ancestral temple. Each of these textiles is embroidered with the same expression, written in the old Indonesian spelling system, “Selamat Datang, Hari Senen, Mulai Kerja” (Welcome, It’s Monday, Work Begins) and each also features a date: June 24, 1963 for the first (upper photo) and March 27, 1972 for the second.
Ceiling cloth in upper photo is 48x50.5in. Cloth in lower image is 51in. square.
