The 3rd Annual Asian Cultural Festival is a celebration of Asian diversity and culture held in the heart of downtown Berkeley. The festival lasts from 10am to 6pm and is hosted in MLK Jr. Civic Center Park. There will be performances by groups in the cultural traditions of Thailand, Cambodia (Khmer Krom), Tibet, India, Indonesia, and Japan. There will also be an Asian Street Fair of food stalls and handicrafts as well!
Gamelan Sekar Jaya’s angklung ensemble and a Topeng dance performed by Guest Dance Director I Made Suteja will be performing in the afternoon at 2:15pm to 2:45pm.
Admission is free and open to the public. All festivities will be taking place outdoors, so we recommend bringing a lawn chair or blanket for you to sit while you enjoy the shows!
Join us for the celebration of rich and diverse culture in collaboration with the Berkeley Asian Cultural Festival brought to you by the Dharma College.
